Explore magical Skye and Wester Ross from our beautiful home in Broadford
Eirigh na Greine (Sunrise) is a haven of peace and relaxation in today's increasingly hectic world. The house sits in half an acre of gardens looking out over the ever-changing tides of Broadford Bay on the Isle of Skye.
Broadford is just 10 minutes from the toll-free Skye bridge on the main road to Portree and makes an ideal base for exploring not only the enchanting island itself, but also some of the spectacular scenery of Wester Ross. The village contains all amenities including a supermarket and restaurants, to a bank, tourist office and cottage hospital.
The house contains four bedrooms, two public rooms and a large dining kitchen. It sleeps eight/nine. There are two toilets, one with bath/shower and the other with a shower. The house is centrally heated, comfortably furnished and was entirely redecorated in 2005.
The stone-built former manse takes its name from Beinn na Greine (hill of the sun) which dominates the hills of Ashaig across the bay. Behind the house the most easterly of the Red Cuillins, Beinn na Cailleach (680m) presides over the village.
Each season brings a changing outlook and a different perspective on the world. It is very difficult not to be captivated.
