The House

Eirigh na Greine (pron. “airey na grain”) sits in the heart of the village of Broadford, just 10 minutes from the Skye bridge. The house has been lovingly renovated to provide a comfortable and spacious retreat in one of the most accessible parts of Scotland's beautiful western isles.

The house contains two public and four bedrooms, plus a family-sized dining kitchen. There are two toilets, one containing a shower, the other with bath/shower plus ample storage and drying facilities. Oil-fired central heating throughout, supplemented by open fires in the main living rooms.

The bay-windowed lounge looks out across the sea to the hills of Ashaig and Beinn na Greine. FreeSAT TV and DVD are available. The second public room contains a hi-fi system as well as an elderly piano for the diy musician.

Both rooms are flooded with the morning sun. However, the Skye weather can be temperamental and there is a selection of books, films and music and board games to relax and entertain indoors.

The gardens extend to half-an acre and capture the sun for most of the day. There is ample parking space.

Sleeping
Three bedrooms are fitted with double beds, the fourth bedroom contains full-size wooden bunks. Two of the rooms face the sea. A single bed may made added to the largest of the bedrooms by arrangement. A cot can also be provided.

Cooking etc
The kitchen will seat ten comfortably round the table. A high chair for children is also available. Facilities include electric cooker with double oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. There are utensils and crockery for up to 10 people. A barbeque, outdoor table and chairs are also provided.

The rear entrance porch and store provides plenty of space for outdoor clothing and boots. No smoking throughout.
